THE EXCLUSIVE FASHION WEBSITE AND OFFICIAL MEDIA
SPONSOR OF MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK
New York, NY (February 15, 2010) – Welcome to Vevant, an exciting new online
fashion magazine that offers cutting-edge style coverage for men and women,
along with professional social networking and an e-com boutique that allows
emerging designers to connect directly with style-savvy consumers.
As Stacey Andreadakis, Vevant's founder and CEO put it, "We aren't reinventing
the wheel - we are just trying to improve it."
A celebration of creativity, life and talent, Vevant's unique editorial mix includes
fashion and culture features written by in-the-know insiders; behind-the-scenes
videos hosted by renowned style icons; striking fashion layouts showcasing the
industry's brightest new talent; and beauty and grooming segments that show
viewers how to get the season's latest looks using the best new tools and
products.
As the exclusive fashion website and official media sponsor of Mercedes-Benz
Fashion Week, Vevant will be generating comprehensive video coverage of the
men's and women's shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris featuring
exclusive backstage and behind-the-scenes footage hosted by Lauren Ezersky
and Diane Pernet, along with runway reviews and profiles of both emerging and
established designers.
Vevant's social network allows fashion's creative community to connect with likeminded
professionals and offers a revolutionary new tool, called V-Folio, that will
enable designers, stylists, photographers, hair and makeup artists, models and
the like to upload, design and share their artwork, videos and portfolios in a chic,
easy-to-navigate and cost-effective format.'
On the e-com front, Vevant is introducing an online boutique in spring 2010 that
will offer emerging designers their own virtual store where they can sell their
collections directly to fashion enthusiasts across the globe.
Throughout Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, show goers are invited to stop by the
Vevant Lounge in the lobby of the Bryant Park Tents to check out the website,
meet the Vevant team and post their own video blogs. Vevant Lounge guests can
also enjoy a complimentary massage, tea and hot chocolate, along with gift bags
featuring a three-day pass to Pure Yoga and many amazing daily giveaways.
In addition, Vevant has partnered with NYC street graffiti artist Phetus to create
fashion-inspired mannequin installations that will be on display throughout
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, including a Haiti-inspired mannequin, which will
be auctioned off at the end of the week to benefit Haitian relief.
Vevant is the brainchild of Stacey Andreadakis, an entrepreneur who conceived
the site as a way to tap into the online needs of creative professionals. "I started
Vevant because I wanted to offer an experience to the fashion community on the
web," she explains. "Each individual will be able to use the site in multiple ways.
Our goal is to make Vevant a useful resource to help businesses grow in our
creative industry."
